With crime rates up, understanding what we can do to combat security concerns will reduce how many feel uneasy about relying solely on the protection of the law. With continued technological advancements, there is no reason not to look into additional security. A modern security system is a great way to provide extra protection for our Masjid and community so we can focus on uplifting each other.
Minimization of Vandalism
It’s important to keep our Masjid safe and the property (i.e. vehicles) safe while on the premises. Security cameras can also act as a deterrent for would-be vandals who would tarnish the respectable appearance of our beautiful property and damage it.
Theft Reduction and Resolution
Both outside and personal theft are major problems that cause losses for people and the community in general. Having a security system in place not only reduces the likelihood that a theft will occur but in many cases, having cameras and security systems in place will offer proof of theft, which can expedite the resolution of a theft case.
Quick Response from the Authorities
When a security system alarm is triggered, authorities are alerted immediately to the potential crime in progress, drastically increasing the odds that the perpetrators will be caught and prosecuted, perhaps even minimizing the amount of damage done. In contrast, anyone without a security system would not be able to alert authorities so quickly.
Reduction of Fraudulent Claims
There are, of course, a myriad of reasons why someone would try to establish a fraudulent claim of injury or activity upon our Masjid’s premises. With the right hardware and security system setup, cameras and other tools can be used to ensure not only the safety of those involved, but also track and provide the ability to review any such claim or mistreatment of our property and people.
